We had an impromptu picnic at the beach post soccer practice. It was another beautiful evening and the girls literally frolicked in the water while I snapped away. The sunset is always a good way to end a night.

I took the picture because something called attention to it. It wasn't until after class when Leonie mentioned something during the lecture about the contrast of nature and the cement posts that it made sense to me. Here we are, surrounded by homes, schools, street lights and so much NOISE, but then this little gravel path just off of the street leads you to this amazing canyon.

Sunny San Diego had just been hit by back to back "storms" (Aka: rain & wind) Not only was the sidewalk full of debris there were bags of sand and pylons all over to help with possibly flooding. This image was over exposed but I like this version - I added a few tweaks in Lightroom and enjoy this look.

These two guys were hanging out under the bridge making a bit of noise. As I walked under I noticed them just pecking at each other. This image makes me laugh because it looks like they're both giving each other side eye!
